Safire Andishe offers Edinburgh Business School of Herriot-Watt University's MBA degree program via distance.

Conventional MBA programs prescribe how students should learn, our program allows you to choose the methods that suit you best.

Program structure:

The MBA program comprises of 7 compulsory subjects and 2 electives. The student must complete all 9 subjects to be awarded an MBA. You can complete the program at your own pace up to a maximum of 7 years. Most graduates complete within 2-3 years.

Course Material

All the courses consist of text materials in a ring binder format. The materials contain self-assessment experiences which enable students to monitor their own progress and to test their understanding of the material as they progress through each course. The program is available only in the English language.

An estimate of the average study-time required for each course is 200 hours. It could therefore take between 18 months (3 courses every six months) to 7 years (maximum time allowed by the university after first examination passed). Students should expect to spend about 12-15 study hours a week but this obviously depends on the individual.

Individuals can buy the subject course material for their own personal development and are not required to sit the examination.

Assessment

All the students of the Herriot-Watt University MBA, irrespective of study route, complete the same rigorous final examination, thus ensuring that consistently high academic standards are maintained.

The MBA course is assessed by examinations, which are held twice early, in June and December in Iran. The examination application form is included in each course. Two examination attempts are allowed for each subject.

Awards

On successful completion of each subject, the student is awarded a "Certificate of Achievement" in that subject, from Herriot-Watt university.
The student is awarded "Master of Business Administration" - MBA degree, a post graduate qualification on successful completion of 7 compulsory and 2 elective subjects.
